The Meade Hospital District was formed in the early 1950's. Over the next 50 years, the original building was remodeled and expanded several times. In November of 2000, the voters of the Hospital District approved the construction of a new facility. With this approval the citizens of Meade County and surrounding counties are able to receive advanced healthcare services in a new modern facility.
