Meade District Hospital Now Offering Mobile
Mammography Through United Radiology Group
Meade, Kansas — March 31, 2026 — Meade District is pleased to announce expanded access to advanced breast health screening through a new partnership with United Radiology Group, now offering mobile mammography services on-site at Meade District Hospital.

United Radiology Group owns and operates the mobile mammography coach, which will travel to Meade District Hospital to deliver on-site imaging services to patients. The coach features 3D tomosynthesis mobile mammography and Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) technology, enabling us to enhance local access to high-quality diagnostic care while helping patients avoid long-distance travel.
Compared with 2D mammography, 3D mammography enables earlier, more accurate breast cancer detection.
-
Reduce unnecessary callbacks by up to 40%
-
Detects up to 41% more invasive breast cancers.
-
Improves screening accuracy for all women, regardless of age or breast density.
With 3D tomosynthesis, physicians evaluate breast tissue layer by layer rather than relying on a single 2D image. This process produces clearer and more accurate screenings.
Take charge of your breast health today! Call Meade District Hospital at 620-873-2141 and ask for the Radiology Department to learn more or schedule your mobile mammography appointment.
