AVHS Welcomes Morgan Salmans,
MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, to our Provider Team

Meade, Kansas — September 2, 2026 — Artesian Valley Health System (AVHS) is proud to announce the addition of Morgan Salmans, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, to its growing team of primary care providers.

Morgan brings 14 years of healthcare experience to AVHS and a strong passion for caring for patients and families. Her healthcare career began as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role she held for six years before becoming a Registered Nurse in 2018. During her eight years as an RN, Morgan gained experience in intensive care and later served as an MDS Coordinator and Nurse Manager at Bethel Home.

Morgan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University with a minor in Public Health Sciences, and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has a professional interest in family medicine.

For Morgan, becoming a Nurse Practitioner has been a goal since she first decided to pursue nursing.

“I have always wanted to be a nurse since I can remember, with the overall goal of becoming a nurse practitioner,” Morgan said. “I have always enjoyed giving back to those in need or taking care of others, and being in the medical field is one of the best ways to do that.”

Morgan places a strong emphasis on getting to know the people she cares for and developing meaningful relationships with her patients.

“I love hearing a patient’s story,” she said. “I often learn from patients just as much as they learn from me, which I feel really drives the relationship between a patient and provider for continued success.”

As someone who also comes from a small town, Morgan said the family-oriented atmosphere and sense of community at AVHS were especially meaningful to her, especially as she raises her own family.

“I love the sense of community, the relationships you build, and the opportunity for growth,” Morgan said. “I am so honored to bring my passion for caring for families and patients to AVHS while also learning from the other providers AVHS is lucky to call their own. This is a wonderful opportunity to grow as a Nurse Practitioner and raise my family in a welcoming community and area.”

Outside of healthcare, Morgan enjoys reading, baking, coffee, gardening, watching NHRA drag racing, and spending time with her husband and their two children. Her household is a big fan of the Chiefs, KSU, and the Rebels. She also has an impressive history behind the wheel. Morgan began driving a junior dragster at age eight and later advanced to a Super Comp dragster, reaching speeds of 160 mph in 8.6 seconds. She was the track champion for 6 of the 8 years she raced a junior dragster, and her car was named “Miss Attitude.”

Please join us in welcoming Morgan Salmans, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, to AVHS. We are excited to have her join our team and look forward to the care and experience she will bring to the patients and communities we serve.
